Thelo Aasgard: From quiet prodigy to Norway’s four goal hero

Thelo Aasgard: From quiet prodigy to Norway’s four goal hero

Back in 2020, as football cautiously returned to training grounds across the North West of England following lockdowns, the Football Flick team had the privilege of working with a group of academy hopefuls eager to play again. Among them stood a 17-year-old Thelo Aasgaard, then a promising midfielder at Wigan Athletic FC.

Even at that age, Thelo displayed the kind of talent that sets young players apart. His technique, control, vision, and movement shone through, complemented by sharp passing and a natural eye for goal. It was clear we were watching a player with huge potential.

Fast forward five years, and Thelo has turned that potential into reality. Recently, he produced the kind of international appearance every young footballer dreams of - scoring four goals for Norway in their emphatic 11-1 victory over Moldova, playing alongside superstar Erling Haaland.

Now at Rangers, Thelo is taking the next big step in his career, bringing creativity, drive, and flair to Ibrox. We’re excited to see how his journey continues and wish him every success as he looks to make his mark in both club and international football.
