Episode 5 of the PRO Skills Trainer Challenge brings you an International Special! Both players gave great performances all whilst honing their skills and technique.
Meet the Future Ballers...
Justin Oboavwoduo
Justin Oboavwoduo, England Youth International and Man City Under 19, represents England. Justin is a Manchester City Striker, Winger and Attacking Midfielder having joined the academy at the age of eight years old. So far he has had a sparkling Club and International youth career and we cant wait to see where he ends up in the future. During the episde he also called out his teammate and good friend Michael Okeke, also for Man City, to take on the PRO Skills Trainer Challenge. Michael, its over to you!
Vimal Yoganathan
Vimal Yoganathan, representing Wales, grew up in North Wales but is of proud Sri Lankan Tamil descent. He is currently playing professionally for Barnsley FC and Wales International. This year he made his professional debut with Barnsley against Manchester United in the EFL. In March 2024 he made his debut for Wales Under 19's against Belgium.
The Challenges
Challenge 1:
The first challenge consisted of passing the ball through the passing gate and then the ball will come back up the return ramp for either Lewis or Rhys to strike the ball into the net.
Strike the ball on target= 1 point
Strike the ball in the bottom corner= 2 points
Strike the ball in the top corner= 5 points
Bullseye= 10 points
If the player scores with a golden ball it will be double points.
Challenge 2:
The second challenge showcased the two players close ball control, they 60 seconds to see how many bounce passes they could make onto the rebound net.
