Football flick have worked with some amazing talents over the last 10 years. Flick Future Ballers are wowing fans of top teams across the UK. Many of them have been spotted making their first team debuts cementing that they are sure to be the ones to keep an eye on during the 2024/25 season across the English Premier League and Championship.
Nico O’Reilly
First on the list is Manchester City’s Nico O’reilly, he looks like a real asset who could push into the first team. The young prospect has all the tools to break his way through like Phill Foden did years back. He is a very technical player, which is perfectly suited for Pep Guardiola. During pre season he has stood out, even with many senior players in the role and this was shown when he equalised against Barcelona in the US.
His eye for goal and the ability to make late runs into the box is exactly why many people at City rate him so highly. The run made into the box was very similar to a former Manchester City player Frank Lampard. His eye for goal is superb, a finish that will only boost his chances of making the first team next year. He also is very versatile, this is perfect for Pep who loves to switch his players due to his tactical mind.
There is a very good chance you will see O’reilly a lot more in the season upcoming. He has to much talent to be ignored, he will doubt be used for City as they will invest in the squad depth a lot with how many games they will need to play.
Joel NDala
The young City player gave Celtic full backs a horific time in the US. He reminds you very much of a younger version of Doku. He has a lot fo tricks and flicks to memorise the opposition and keep the crowd on the edge of their seats. He will be a player that fans will pay to watch as he runs so directly at the opposition. Ndala still has room for improvement but at the age of 18 his end product, especially his crossing is top notch.
In terms of next season, he definitely will be in the mix for a call up to the first team. Manchester City are blessed with wingers at the moment with the likes of Jack Grealish, Doku, Foden etc. However, he will want to push him self to prove that he can compete with the elite and play for one of the biggest teams in the world.
Habeeb Ogunneye
Habeeb who plays for Manchester United is a real talent. He has been playing for United throughout the pre season and has impressed. A modern day fullback with real intent to hurt the opposition with his overlapping runs.
Manchester United are under a new era with ETH and they will hope they can bring more youth through like they did with Mainoo. Also with Wan Bissaka linked with a move away from the reds, he will love to be the replacement and break into the first team.
Freddie Freedman
Jadel Katongo
The young defender who plays for Manchester City had a very successful loan at league one club Peterborough last season. Scoring on his debut to and making 32 times for the posh. He has many fans excited what he can bring to the table.
A dominant centre-half but with a unique positional intelligence and versatility, Katongo is capable of playing across all defensive positions, and boasts an impressive technical ability to complement his physical qualities.
He may be sent on loan again to progress his talent. He looks a ready made replacement for Kyle Walker once he leaves the club or retires. So there is a definitely potential for a breakthrough eventually for Katongo.
Matty Warhurst
Another Manchester City prospect. Matty is often the focal point of the attack, causing trouble for the opposition by holding the ball up or getting in behind the defence. He will hope to carry on his good form and break into the first team.
Sean Mcgurk
Mcgurk who currently plays in league 2 for Swindon town is a talented striker with a brilliant eye for goal. He just broke into Swindon’s first team last year playing 9 times and scoring twice. Mcgurk really has a chance of having a breakout season next year.
Layton Stewart
The former Liverpool striker made a move to Preston and has made 16 appearances. He has yet to score for Preston, however he has time to fulfil his very high potential. He was highly rated at Liverpool and many believed he had a chance to breakthrough.
Going to Preston will be brilliant for Stewart as he will get chances in a league that is one of the most competitive in world.
Charlie Gray
Charlie Gray has spent his whole youth career at Manchester City, having signed at the Club aged eight and progressing to be a very promising midfielder.
He has been signed on again for Manchester City, this will be a very promising season for him in the long run. Next year he will get a chance for a professional contract so he will have to have a brilliant season again.
Rhys Thomas
The Welshman has been very promising in City’s academy. Rhys has excellent technical ability, including a sublime first touch, and a strong ability to play with either foot with confidence. He will hope to have a very good season and get a professional contract next year.
