The Urban Skills Trainer is an essential tool for improving your football technique, whether you're training on the pitch or at home. If you're new to using it, Mark, a PE teacher and FA-licensed football coach, is here to guide you through the essential drills that will take your game to the next level.
All of our drill videos are designed to make use of the Urban Skills Trainers' scientific validation. This means all of these drills are proven by science to help improve you as a player. Completed and verified by the University of Central Lancashire, they conducted a 9-week study showing that control can be improved by 73%, touch by 45% and passing by 29%.

1. Ground Pass
A strong ground pass is key to getting a good rebound on the front ramp and passing quickly to teammates. Start with five consecutive passes using good technique, then switch to your weaker foot.
2. First Touch
Pass the ball against the front ramp and control it with your first touch. Repeat the drill five times on each foot to improve your touch under pressure.
3. Rebounder Control
Use the rear rebounder to practice controlling the ball on the half-volley and also improve your lofted pass. Start with ten consecutive touches, then increase the distance for more difficulty.
4. Passing, Control and Chipping the ball
Work on a combination drill that combines multiple learnt techniques all into one.
5. Volleying and Shooting
Work on stationary volleys and shooting drills to sharpen your striking ability.
6. Chest Control & Front Ramp Pass
Use the front ramp to practice chest control. Start with three consecutive rebounds, increasing distance as you improve.
7. Folding Down & Storage
The Urban Skills Trainer is easy to set up and fold away after training.
